Look more closely.
A plant with long curly hair, almost brushing the side of the chair. An empty pink chair sitting in water. A jug looking away for fear of what might happen next.
What does it mean?
Two objects on the same plane but far apart. The jug has given up and turned away. The plant reaches down to save the occupant of the chair, but instead reaches into emptiness itself.
The plant cannot see beyond the shelf. The jug cannot see behind himself.
In their blindness they are unaware that the water is rising.
